Tableware - Stoneware

Stoneware is a dense and robust material. It’s not translucent and can be white or coloured.

It is made of clay with a high silica content. High temperature firing creates a vitreous phase which provides for full densification. But stoneware stays opaque unlike porcelain.

Here is an overview of our technical offer, don’t hesitate to contact us for more details!

Biscuit firing (Temperature: 850 – 950°C):

Compositions
Key Features

Pressed Batts
(Extruded possible)

Pressed Batts

• Low thermal mass

• High flatness

• Very long life-time

• Very precise and stable geometric dimensions

• High resistance to bending at high temperature

Pressed Biscuit Setters

Pressed Biscuit

• Enable an easy handling of your tableware pieces even before firing.

• Low thermal mass

• Very long life-time

• Very precise and stable geometric dimensions

Glost firing (Temperature: 1 150 - 1 250°C):

The glost firing, is realized at rather high temperature (1 150 - 1 250°C). There is a trend to reduce the cycle time from 17-18 h (traditional tunnel or shuttle kilns) to as low as 3 h.,  thanks to the fast firing technology.
